Learning Objectives:

  • Consider utilizing new technology with the comfort of knowing how to manage the complications or unexpected outcomes (Multifocal IOLs and Astigmatic Correcting IOLs (TORIC)
  • Help patients decrease their risk factors of vision loss by addressing systemic (hypotension) and anatomic changes that can lead to permanent visual loss.
  • Counsel their patients about the latest in treatment for common retinal disease (diabetic retinopathy and ARMD) with the confidence that they are following the latest clinically proven guidelines.
  • Describe how and when to implement the new glaucoma treatments both medically and surgically for mild to moderate glaucoma.
